Capacity building support to develop social enterprise

Would you like to be in control of your future, less reliant on funding and able to focus on the projects and services your community really needs and wants?

Does the idea of not worrying about funding, not having to do monitoring, not being dictated to by agencies and bodies with their own agendas appeal to you?

CEMVO was funded by Capacity Builders in 2009 to support eight organisations over two years to develop their capacity as social enterprises, build themselves as businesses, reduce reliance on funding and improve their self determination through dependence on their own income generation. CEMVO are now seeking the second batch of four to support until March 2011.

The programme will offer a combination of theoretical training together with the benefit of practical hands-on help and input on site, an officer visiting weekly to support you.

You will need to be able to show that you have an idea for delivering a service or product that has the potential to grow and to be sustainable and the commitment to work at its development over the next year.

CEMVO are offering you the opportunity to work with them to develop a secure future for your organisation by developing as a social enterprise. If you are interested please call on 0117 989 7727 for an informal discussion.

To join the programme and receive this valuable and free support you will need to complete and return a questionnaire (as an application). A hard copy can be requested from Fumi Samuels by phoning on 01179897727 or by emailing on fumi.samuels@cemvo.org.uk. Don’t delay – spaces are limited, demand is high and the deadline for applications is 14 May 2010.
