Welcome to the new Chair of Bristol Compact Steering Group:

“Hello, I'm Graham Sims, Strategic Director for Neighbourhoods with Bristol City Council. I've just taken on the role of chairing the Compact Steering Group. Two things have struck me. Firstly, that there is a lot of good work being delivered around the Compact and this has been greatly helped by the new dedicated Compact Liaision Officer role. But secondly, that the Steering Group needs to be better supported by the statutory agencies. This will enable the Third Sector to both have face to face conversations about the Compact and to challenge on compliance. With a national Compact refresh due, there's an opportunity to genuinely work together for a thriving Third Sector and a city of thriving neighbourhoods."

The Bristol Compact steering group was formed on 2 November 2004
The group reports to the Bristol Partnership and is responsible for implementing and providing strategic direction to the Compact.
