"Back to the Future" exhibition launch- Sat 25th February-, Gloucester

Back to the Future” is a Heritage Lottery Funded project, with Black Southwest Network (BSWN). A touring exhibition highlighting the history of BME organisations is being launched in Bristol, Gloucester and Plymouth. Over forty interviews have been recorded, representing the historical and cultural life of the BME organisations within the Southwest. Our project asks the question: What is the impact and contribution of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) organisations to the cultural landscape of the Southwest? Focusing specifically on the heritage of BME organisations within the Southwest of England.

We are hosting a joint launch with the Hidden Lives Project in Gloucester. This will include a "Back to the Future" exhibition of short stories followed by live performance of "reminiscence" play by Hidden Lives at The Picturedrome Theatre, Barton Street, Gloucester. The exhibition is free and will be open at 3pm on Saturday 25th February, the following theatre performance at 7.30 is a ticket event (£4 a ticket) which will be preceded by a VIP buffet at 6pm.
