Young Men & Consent (Paul Jefferson - Boys & Young Men’s Worker, Brook)
Paul is the Boys & Young Men’s Worker for Brook in Bristol. He is part of the PEI Team (Prevention & Early Intervention) who do small group work & 1:1 work with young men who are taking risks with their sexual health.
Young Men & Consent will look at young men’s understanding of consent and the consequences of them not being able to give and gain consent in their relationships.
Health Concerns In Young Men: What Do They Want, Need And Get From Their GP?

Matthew works in General Practice in South Bristol and at the University of Bristol’s School of Social Community Medicine. Matthew’s research portfolio include projects tackling access barriers that young men face in accessing primary care, the community management of testicular disease, and addiction in young people
Health Concerns In Young Men will look at their needs and sexual health and how best can we help young men to access the services they require.
The Effect Of Life On Young Gay Men (Michael Clarke - Senior Health Adviser)
Michael works at Bristol Sexual Health Centre leading the Health Advising Team and has a role in service development. Health Advisers have a wide scope of work and the majority of gay men attending the service would have interaction with the team at some point
The Effect Of Life On Young Gay Men will briefly be looking at concepts of Heterosexism and Internalized Homophobia and considering if it is easier to be a young gay man now than in previous years.
