FREE International Women's Rights Conference

As part of our Girls’ Education Project in Tanzania, funded by the Department for International Development, African Initiatives is holding our second FREE conference on Saturday 25th February to explore women’s rights here and abroad.

The conference will take place at Broadmead Baptist Church, Union Street, Central Bristol, 9.30am - 3.45pm. There will be a series of fun and informative workshops, talks, and films addressing a wide range of women’s rights issues. Special guest speakers include; Simon Daffi Kirway and Huruma Alfred Sakafu from CASEC, one of our partner organisations in Tanzania, and Sandra Arostegui a Fair-trade producer from Nicaragua.

This is a fantastic opportunity for people to find out more about issues surrounding Women’s Rights overseas and in the UK, share their experiences and meet other people and organisations interested in and working with these issues.

This is a FREE event, with lunch and refreshments provided.  Everyone welcome!  Please book in advance by contacting Sian at info@african-initiatives.org.uk  / 0117 915 0001.
