Free Internet Access, Work Club and Computer Courses Fishponds

The Vassall Centre (Fishponds, Bristol) is starting an internet café and Work Club for disabled people, carers and older people.

We are starting up drop-in sessions with one-to-one support and tutor taught sessions on using the internet and applying for work. Organisations can book group sessions, or people can come along as individuals. For the drop in sessions people don't need to pre-book to say they're coming so they can come along as and when they feel it's appropriate. When the website is up and running it will also be possible to access resources from other places (although we can offer more support if people can make it into the Centre).  Volunteers can give tips and get people started using computers and applying for work.

We are also looking for volunteers who are confident using the internet or applying for work, for daytime sessions in order to get the project up and running (see http://www.do-it.org.uk/search/opportunities/1756469/Internet_Enthusiast_for_new_Internet_Cafe_for_Disabled_People ).

I am also happy to come out and speak to groups about this, plaese get in touch :)
