Venue: Broadmead Baptist Church, 1 Whippington Court, Bristol BS1 3HY (Next to Tesco)

This meeting will include a presentation and question and answer session on the new Community Infrastructure Levy and what this new source of funding will mean for voluntary and community sector groups.

Registration and drinks will be available from 5.30pm, the meeting will start at 6pm.

The meeting will include:

  • An update on the new Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
    Find out about this new funding stream to support infrastructure across Bristol and how it might benefit VCS groups.
     
  • Find out about the changes to the NHS
    Changes to the structure and decision making processes in the NHS come into effect from April 2013. This briefing will give an overview of the changes and explain how decisions about health services affecting neighbourhoods may change.
     
  • Have your say on the proposed changes to the Bristol City Council policy on discretionary rate relief for charities and vcs organisations and find out about the Bristol Mayors 2013/14 budget consultation.
    Find out what the changes to the discretionary rate relief might mean for local vcs organisations and how you can have your say. The draft BCC budget is expected to be released in December/January, subject to confirmation of the draft budget this meeting will give you an opportunity to find out what is proposed, how it will affect the VCS and contribute your views to the consultation.
