To celebrate the great work done by the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Bristol, Voscur is pleased to announce the return of the Social Impact Awards, The 'Voscurs'.

Volunteer Team of the Year**
Award for a Volunteer Team that has gone above and beyond what might normally be expected, through its dedication and/or impact. 

Please tell us about how the team has been outstanding, for example:

  • through the time they have given;
  • barriers they have overcome;
  • how they have worked well together as a team;
  • their achievements and successes.

Trustee of the Year*
Award for a trustee (or management committee member) from a Bristol based organisation who has gone the extra mile in their trusteeship. 

Please tell us how they have made a difference, for example:

  • through a significant contribution to the strategic development or direction of the organisation;
  • by being a good ambassador for the organisation;
  • going beyond what is expected of them in their role.

Young Volunteer of the Year 16-25 year olds**
Award for a volunteer aged between 16 and 25.

  • The young person’s age
  • About their volunteering activities

Batook Pandya Award for Inclusion**
In memory of Batook Pandya MBE, director of SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality), this new Award is for an organisation or group that recognises, promotes and celebrates diversity and inclusion. 

Please tell us:

  • what the organisation or group has done/does;
  • how they have managed to bring people from different communities together;
  • about the organisation or group’s good practice and how it celebrates diversity and ensures inclusion.

Community Venue of the Year Award*
Award for the best community run publicly accessible space in Bristol in 2014/15.

The 'Thanks For Supporting The Sector' Award
This award is for an individual or department within the public or private sector.  It recognises the exceptional support given to a voluntary and community sector group or organisation by a statutory sector (local authority, NHS, police, fire service, etc) officer or department, or private company. This will be someone who has gone out of their way to help, and/or who has demonstrated a degree of flexibility in their work.

  • the support given;
  • the impact of the support.

Happy, Healthy Bristol Award*
This award is to celebrate an organisation or group, that by its actions has improved the health and well-being of [a group of] people in the city. This could be through any one of a range of activities such as arts, play, sports, or advice.
