Cycling City
Bristol is England's first Cycling City
In June 2008, Bristol (Bristol City Council and parts of South Gloucestershire Council area) was announced as England's first Cycling City. Total funding of £22.8 million is available to double the number of cyclists in 'Greater Bristol' in two and a half years.
