The Volunteer Organisers' Forum is used to promote and share best practice for those managing or coordinating volunteers.  We meet quarterly to discuss a variety of issues relevant to volunteering such as volunteer recruitment, employability, DBS checks, volunteer retention, thank you events, welfare reform impacts, volunteers and the law amongst others.  Featuring speakers and mini workshops, this forum is also a great opportunity to network.

The September meeting will include:

  • St Peter's Hospice and Volunteering - Russell Cowan, a short presentation about the St Peter's volunteering programme
  • Engaging with student volunteers - Facilitated discussion around best practice led by UWE
  • Universal Credit - Ian McIntyre, Universal Credit project manager from Bristol City Council will be joining us to give an update on UC and how it will impact volunteering.

Please submit any questions you may have for Ian on this topic on your booking form.

Bespoke Volunteer Management advice and resources are also available to member organisations by emailing jessica@volunteerbristol.org.uk
