This is a full time opportunity, available Wednesday – Friday, 10am – 4pm
Description:
Orange Street Creative Studios are looking for a group of volunteers aged 16 – 25
to help create a collection of textile work to use in community projects. We will teach you basic textile skills such as felt making, jewellery, patchwork and embroidery.
The work created will explore themes of home, history and hope for an exhibition in September, as well as some outreach workshops in the community.
We encourage our volunteers to take a leading role when designing workshops, so if you have a workshop you would like to run please let us know. We also aim to encourage our volunteers to help plan and facilitate art workshops out in the community.
