Background Info:
Bristol Community Transport (BCT) is a community based organisation providing minibuses for hire to groups in the not-for-profit sector. They have a fleet of 19 minibuses and one removal van. Based on Easton Road, they provide safe, accessible and affordable transport to a wide variety of groups in Bristol. This might be for a community outing, for transporting people to the Big Bike Ride, or lots of other purposes.

BCT also provides training for drivers along with refresher courses on a regular basis. It costs £21 pa for community and voluntary groups to join BCT and they currently have a membership of over 200 groups. They are part funded by the City Council and have a service level agreement with them. They also generate their own funding, and have a pool of 20 or so volunteers, working alongside a team of paid staff.

Thanks to BCT for being our first member's profile. If your group would like to be profiled in a future Voscur newsletter or on our website, please contact Darron Thevarajah at the Voscur office Tel. 909 9949, or email: darron@voscur.org
