VCSE survey - Working with Children, Young People and their families, The Big Society and Localism

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

Representatives from Dorset, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath & North East Somerset and Somerset local authorities are working together to collect information from agencies across the South West to understand how well local voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations are prepared for the new opportunities that may emerge for working with young people and their families as new legislation about Open Public Services, Localism and the Big Society are enacte. The survey will inform how local authorities in the region can work in partnership with the VCSE to take advantage of new opportunities.

An online survey has been set up to give VCSE organisations the opportunity to give the commissioners in your local authority your views on the Big Society and Localism and to help us understand the capacity and skills that you have to meet the objectives of the new service landscape.   The information that organisations provide by completing the survey will help local authorities to understand how they should shape the commissioning of services in the future. This research is being supported by the Directors of Children's Services across the South West as part of a suite of transformational projects.
