Translationstation
Blackpool Third Sector Strategic Partnership based at the Council for Voluntary Services are developing a pilot project that will help non-EU speaking communities to access translators through a video based website-translationstation.org.uk
The Partnership are asking for help in identifying and enrolling translators to volunteer their time and commitment to helping non-EU speaking minority groups who may be facing eviction or legal proceedings related to housing issues.
For the volunteer translators it will involve
• Giving you their contact details
• Receiving an email once the site has gone live with a link to register themselves as a volunteer translator on the site.
• Making themselves available at a mutually convenient time should anyone with their language need a translators help. The Partnership do not envisage any translator being asked to volunteer more than a few hours in any one year.
