Bristol City Council's Draft Regeneration Voluntary Sector Investment Strategy 2006-10

Following a further consultation meeting with members on 30th January 2006, and Ashy McKay's response to the questions and concerns we raised in our letter of 21st December, we submitted this response to the Regeneration Investment Strategy.

We felt that many of our questions and concerns had not been fully addressed, and that therefore our response was based on limited information. Where possible we have proposed alternatives to the current strategy.

Our understanding of the process from now on in, is that the responses will be reviewed by the City Council's Community Development Team who will draw out the main issues and assess what impact the responses will have on the main proposals, and therefore what revisions need to be made. There will be another iteration (version) of the strategy at the end of March. This will be presented to the Executive Member for Regeneration and internally to other Council Departments for feedback. There will then be a further iteration in April. The final version will be presented to a City Council cabinet meeting in May/June and the Council would hope to have the strategy in place by June. This would give a three month lead-in period for those groups who may have funding withdrawn after September 2006.
