14 Mar 2008 - 10:30
14 Mar 2008 - 14:00

Venue: RNIB South West, 10 Stillhouse Lane, Bedminster, Bristol, BS3 4 EB (Prior booking is essential - please see below for details)

The Arts Council has developed a Disability Action Plan for the whole of England and are arranging a series of six meetings to help them decide what are the priorities they need to act on in the South West.

Five of these meetings are being split into two halves. The morning will be for disabled and Deaf people and their allies to discuss their hopes and experiences. In the afternoon they want to hear from other stakeholders (such as ACE’s regularly funded organisations, Local Authorities and Colleges). Lunch will be provided for everyone (1-2pm) so there is an opportunity for people to meet each other.

The meetings will be facilitated by Will Bee, freelance consultant and former Director of the Welsh Disability Rights Commission and Ruth Hecht, ACE’s Diversity and Inclusion Officer in the South West.

If you would like to attend please contact Emma Molony who will send you a simple booking form. If you are unable to attend the meetings there will be other opportunities for you to feed in to this discussion – please contact Emma Molony for details:
