Introduction to Community Carbon Footprinting

6 Mar 2008 - 09:30
6 Mar 2008 - 16:30

What is community carbon footprinting (CCF), and how is it done? This new event will provide a basic understanding of what it is, how to carry out a survey and work out a CCF, and what support exists for communities carrying out such a project. It will use two main case studies showing two different styles of CCF. Carrying out a CCF is an excellent way of raising environmental awareness in your community and provides a baseline from which other projects can be developed. The event is aimed at community groups, individuals and organisations who support community groups, Community Champions, local councillors and others who want to identify and reduce impact on the environment. Held at The CREATE Centre, Bristol – Contact Jacki or Helen at ETN on 0121 359 2113 or Email ETN@btcv.org.uk. Refreshments and a light buffet lunch will be provided within the course fee.
* Fees: voluntary organisations £105 + VAT; local authorities, statutory organisations and other non-voluntary £160 + VAT.
