Bristol City Council Nice Work Seminar

29 Feb 2008 - 09:30
29 Feb 2008 - 14:00

Bristol City Council is one of the largest employers in the South West providing jobs for around 20,000 staff.

The purpose of this event is to have the opportunity to clarify our recruitment processes (and changes) to anyone who provides advice and support to Bristol's unemployed clients.

We can let you know about Bristol City Council initiatives and support available for you and your clients.

We will have speakers representing each section of the Council to let you know what types of jobs/careers are available in each department, routes in and entry requirements.

There will also be opportunities to ask our recruitment staff, and some department managers, questions and provide us with feedback as to how successful and user friendly you feel our processes are.

Lunch will provide an opportunity for networking, developing sign posting opportunities and peer support.

Following lunch will be an optional training session.

Who it is aimed at:

Please note the event is not open to clients directly but is open to all support staff who are involved with the delivery of face to face client provision, which aims to assist people into sustainable employment in Bristol, or managers who support such staff groups. The event will be beneficial when assisting clients in their Bristol City Council Applications and provide an insight into the inner workings of our recruitment service. It would be fantastic to see as many employment support staff, from all over Bristol, representing as many different client groups as possible.

Venue: The Create Centre,Smeaton Road,Bristol, BS1 6XN
