Will Bristol become a 'Cycling City'?

The Government appointed Cycling England (www.cyclingEngland.co.uk) have launched a competition to find the country's first Cycling City and Bristol are putting themselves forward.

The prize would see an investment of £10 per head per year over the coming 3 years to promoting and supporting people to choose the bicycle for short everyday journeys.

Bristol City Council are bidding for Bristol to become a 'Cycling City' and winners of the competition will be announced in June 2008
