Conference to focus on 'Intercultural Dialogue: The Way Forward'

Bristol City Council is organising a European conference with the University of West of England's (UWE's) new Centre for Intercultural Communication. The conference, which is entitled 'Intercultural Dialogue: The Way Forward', is taking place at @Bristol on April 11 and 12 2008. Speakers include John McDonald, spokesperson for EU Commissioner Jan Figel and Prof. Richard Ennals, UK National Co-ordinating Body UN and Council for Education in World Citizenship (nominated for the peace nobel prize).

If you would like to attend the conference, please register using the instructions online at:

The programme will include the launch of the Abolition 200 Legacy Commission on the evening of April 11 at the City Museum and Art Gallery. The programme also entails 4 workshops which will look at how we can develop some European and international community cohesion projects in Bristol as a result of this conference.

The event is free for delegates and we would like the attendance of as many community cohesion practitioners and representatives of community groups as possible.
