Dining at the Dings - multicultural feast organised by the local community

The Dings multicultural feast is taking place in the Dings Park, St Philips and was funded by Community at Heart and is supported by Barton Hill Settlement.

Volunteers from the Dings Community Association have organised the feast to celebrate the diversity of the area and bring people together for a day of food, fun and entertainment.

The event is the second to be held in the Dings Park during the last 12 months after local people said they wanted more community activities in the area. Over 100 people attended the Party in the Park in August and more are expected at the feast this Saturday.

Bristol radio station BCfm will be broadcasting live from the event and there will be a chance to sample food from around the world, take part in a Morris dancing workshop and watch an African dance display. The Dings youth project is exhibiting photographs taken by young people that document a day in the life of a Dings resident.
