Intercultural Dialogue Conference

This two day conference reconsiders learning, teaching and research in
the field of intercultural dialogue from a variety of theoretical and
practical perspectives. The first day will have a teacher/practitioner
focus, whilst the second day will be more focused on current research.
The aim is to enhance exchange of ideas and there will be a lot of
crossover between the two days.

Speakers include John McDonald, spokesperson for EU Commissioner Jan
Figel and Prof. Richard Ennals, UK National Co-ordinating Body UN and
Council for Education in World Citizenship (nominated for the peace
nobel prize).

Venue: At-Bristol, Harbourside, Bristol, BS1 5DB.

Link to conference programme

The programme will include the launch of the Abolition 200 Legacy
Commission on the evening of April 11 2008 at the City Museum and Art
Gallery. The programme also entails 4 workshops which will look at how
we can develop some European and international community cohesion
projects in Bristol as a result of this conference.

The event is free for delegates and they would like the attendance
of as many community cohesion practitioners and representatives of
community groups as possible.
