Celebrating seasonal food cultures and traditions across Bristol
At the Better Food Company Cafe, Servier St, St.Werburghs, Bristol.
3-5 June is the UN Conference on World Food Security and the Challenges of Climate Change and Bio-energy. A national Day of Action is being called to raise awareness around the issues of food, climate change and peak oil.
Please join Transition Bristol, Bristol Food Hub and Forum for the Future on Tuesday 29 April from 7.30 - 9.30 to discuss this Day of Action and putting on an event in your area, simultaneously celebrating one particular food in season (for example, local honey and all things bee-related!), all across Bristol, as a way to raise awareness around food, health and the environment. We hope to then continue this with a calendar of seasonal celebratory events around the city throughout the year.
Please let me know if you plan to come so we can get an idea of numbers - and please bring food to share. Contact Claire Milne, 07824 878 904, Environment and Sustainability Team, Bristol City Council, email: claire.milne@bristol.gov.uk
