St Werburghs City Farm is seeking a professional, self-employed fundraiser to successfully bid for major grants for key posts which are essential to move the charity to its next stage of development. The successful candidate must have a demonstrably successful track record of securing major grants from trusts or similar organisations. A proven record with the Big Lottery Fund would be useful.
We will look to the Fundraiser to propose the time and costs involved in meeting the objectives.
Outcomes
To secure salary funding for the following full-time posts for at least 2, preferably 3 years, plus associated costs :-
• Community Development Manager to lead on the development of the farm and community engagement.
• Children’s Work and Education Manager and necessary part-time support staff to head up
environmental play and education opportunities for under 11s.
Essential Criteria
• At least 3 years experience of securing major funding bids from the Big Lottery &/or similar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An understanding of the needs of grassroots organisations
• Excellent research skills
