Effective Campaigning: How To Gain Support For Your Charity
With over 190,000 charities in the UK, it's increasingly challenging to gain public support for voluntary organisations. Even businesses are getting in on the act, campaigning for issues affecting them and their customers. This is where a well thought out communications strategy is key, helping you to effectively identify and reach those most likely to get involved.
The CIPR West of England has brought together a selection of the region's top charity communicators. These will provide hints and examples on harnessing the support of both national and local communities. Gill Harrison (Sustrans) will talk about their work around the successful Connect2 bid plus the Bristol to Bath Cyclepath campaign. Julia Warren (Meningitis Research Foundation) will discuss their CIPR award-winning awareness campaign. And Sally Hems (Oakleaf Communications) will provide some tips for success, illustrated through campaigns carried out for Mind.
