Unity Cup
For the second year running the Netham Pavilion in Barton Hill will play host to the Unity Cup.
The Unity Cup is an annual football festival, which was launched in 2003 by Kick It Out. The festival is primarily targeted at refugees and asylum seekers, with the main aim being to engage and work with these communities by using football to overcome exclusion, build confidence and tackle racism.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday 21 June and has been organised to coincide with National Refugee Week.
Community at Heart’s Sports Development Team, Bristol City Council and the Gloucestershire Football Association are working with Kick It Out and other partners to stage the event.
For more information on the event contact Matt Emery, Community Football Development Officer on 0117 903 9872.
