The Malago Trek - from Mouth to Source

Starting in the Asda car-park, we will follow the River Malago as it winds its way secretly through Bedminster and Windmill Hill, before starting to climb gently up through Manor Woods Local Nature Reserve towards Bishopsworth. We will then cross over the watershed to the Pigeonhouse Stream (a tributory of the Malago) and the exciting New Lake Shore development. Onwarsds and gently upwards through Hartcliffe, and a final dramatic ascent of Dundry Slopes to the beautiful Malago Spring high above Bristol.
- Meet at 10.00 am in Asda Car Park
- The walk will take 3-4 hours at a gentle stroll, apart from the final descent up Dundry Slopes, paths are paved and not steep. You may join for all or part of the walk
- There will be short talks of interest along the way
- Bring water to drink and your own picnic to enjoy when we reach the source of the Malago
- Wear comftable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. No public toilets close to the route.
- Easy bus transport back from Asda
