Brieifing for LGB Community who are interested in Becoming School Governors

At the Committee Room, the Council House, College Green, Bristol, BS1. 

Governce can be a most rewarding and stimulating experience and new governors join over two thousand people who have also chosen to do something positive and unique to make a difference for the young people in Bristol. 

 Schools are very keen to work with people who have:

• A desire to be involved in education
• Common sense and a willingness to accept responsibility
• Energy and enthusiasm to work in a team and make a difference in a Bristol school
• The confidence, understanding and assertiveness to ask the right questions of Heads, staff and colleague Governors.

You do not need to be an educational 'expert ' but we would welcome Governors with specialist knowledge and experience, especially in the fields of financial management, HR and buildings.
