Disability Equality In Play

This training course is provided by Bristol Association for Neighbourhood Daycare Ltd (BAND).

The aims of the session are:

• Reflecting on attitudes towards disability
• Developing understanding of Medical & Social models of disability
• Examining meaning of inclusive play & examining use of language
• Exploring how to create inclusive activities for different settings & learning new games and ways of adapting them

Tutor: Alison John - an experienced Consultant and Disability Equality trainer in the field of play, early years & inclusion, with personal experience of a "disabling world".

Refreshments: Tea, coffee & squash provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.

Cost: Free to all Bristol-based childcare workers, however a £10 refundable deposit per person is required to secure a place. £50 to all others. Separate cheques payable to 'BAND Ltd' please.
