"Out To Play" Challenging Homophobia: Heterosexism Awareness & Sexuality Training

This training course is provided by Bristol Association for Neighbourhood Daycare Ltd (BAND).

The aims of the session are:

  • To raise participants' understanding of the importance of sexual identity in all our lives
  • To explore and challenge the myths and stereotypes associated with being lesbian or gay
  • To enable playworkers to work more effectively with children and young people around issues of sexuality.

All participants must attend both days to gain a Certificate of Attendance.

Tutor: Mo Hand has a Youth & Community background & considerable experience of delivering equality & diversity training using an action orientated approach.

Refreshments: Tea, coffee & squash provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.

Cost: Free to all Bristol-based childcare workers, however a £10 refundable deposit per person is required to secure a place. £80 to all others. Separated cheques payable to 'BAND Ltd' please.
