Two is a Crowd - Exploring the Psycho-Social and Neuroscience Elements in the Therapeutic Relationship

20 Sep 2008 - 10:00
20 Sep 2008 - 17:00

Presented by the University of the West of England (UWE) Conference and Continuing Professional Development Programme. Held at St Matthias Campus, Oldbury Court Road, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 2JP.

There is an African saying that it takes a village to grow a child. How conscious are we of the social and environmental influences within the therapeutic and other social encournters? How much attention is paid to these aspects?

This day long conference / Continuting Professional Development (CPD) event, offers an invitation to think about who else and what else comes in the room when client and therapist or any two people come together.

These issues will be explored via psycho-social perspectives and methodologies, while also linking to the understanding that can emerge from neuro-scientific views of the human brain and psyche.
