This course will also be held in a number of different locations around the South West in 2008 and 2009.

Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility.  This training is designed for anyone who has contact with children and young people within their working environment, and covers the requirements of Standard 6: Safeguarding Children of the CWDC Induction Standards.  Participants have the option of completing a workbook as evidence of standard met.

This one day course will:

  • Raise awareness about Safeguarding issues
  • Develop your understanding of Safeguarding law, policies and procedures
  • Enable you to recognise and respond to indicators of abuse
  • Support you to identify your own role and responsibilities within a Safeguarding context.

Course is aimed at: any staff from voluntary, statutory, private and independent agenices working with children and families.

Training will cost £55+VAT for the training which includes lunch and refreshments.
