Come and join us at the  South Asian Festival, which will be held on 26th September, 2009, in Eastville  Park, Eastville.

The event will start at 1pm.

This is an opportunity for the whole City to get  together and celebrate
the diversity within our community, and to have fun while  doing it !

The entertainment will be outstanding - Music, dancing and  singing -
giving local talent the opportunity to shine, along with some more  well known
groups and individuals within the Asian Community, and there will be  fashion
shows, food, stalls, rides and other exciting things on offer across the
park all day.

At 2.30pm, in the Youth Marquee, there will be the start of a talent
competiton taking place all afternoon, for 13 - 19 yrs olds, which will give our
young people the opportunity to show us what they can do. Come and support
them  !!!!

At 3pm, in the Heritage Marquee, there will be an informal  reception for
The Lord Mayor of Bristol, Cllr Chris Davies and Councillors,  which will be
followed by the Lord Mayor cutting the ribbon to launch a new book  about
the contributions of the Asian Community to the ever changing diversity  and
heritage of our City, remembering their experiences and involvement from the
1960's onwards, entitled "More than a Curry"

We hope you will be  able to join us for this event, and look forward to
seeing you on 26th September  !!!
