Are you interested in joining the Health Links team as a Link Worker? Are you able to work as and when needed?
Health Links provides an Interpreting, translating and advocacy service to the Bristol and surrounding area Health Communities.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who speak various community languages as well as being proficient in English.
The work will involve providing an interpreting service in Health Centres, going on home visits with Health professionals and supporting individuals in accessing health services.
Due to current demand in the city we are looking to recruit the following languages:
Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bengali (Dhaka, Sylheti), CZech, Dutch, Farsi, French, Georgian, Guajarati, Hungarian, Kosovon, Kurdish (Sorani), Lingali, Mandarin, Pashtu, Persian, Polish, Punjabi, Pashto, Romanian, Russian, Slovakian, Trigrinya, Turkish, Thai, Tamil Urdu & Vietnamese,
Applications from other languages are also welcomed.
You will have experience in interpreting, translation, advocacy and a willingness to undertake training appropriate for the role. The interview process requires you to undertake an oral competency test in both English and the specified language(s).
