Oxfam Media and recruitment Intern

The Portishead online hub has a team of approximately 60 volunteers. As the operation has grown we are looking to expand the number of volunteers we have recruited, and from a variety of different sources.

In order to do this we intend to start a new wave of recruitment within the local area by raising awareness of the hub and working in conjunction with numerous external organisations. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing this process.

What this role will involve:
The role is responsible for the successful implementation of the following projects:

Establishing and developing links with external organisations that can assist with the recruitment of volunteers.
Creating volunteer information packs, posters and leaflets for distribution in the local area.
Representing Oxfam’s Online Hub amongst community leaders and at external events.
Using various innovative channels (including the media) to publicise Oxfam’s volunteering need.
Giving potential volunteers tours of the hub and completing volunteer paperwork in line with Oxfam’s policy and procedure.

This is a great opportunity for someone recently graduated from university who want to make a real difference within Oxfam.
