Details:
To lead small groups of volunteers from the local community on specific gardening tasks at the community garden, as requested by the Horticultural Training Manager and/or the Horticultural Trainer.
Description:
Responsibilities include:
Health and Safety of community garden volunteers
Risk assessment of specific gardening activities
Provide training in basic gardening in a tidy condition and for cleaning and returning all tools to the tool shed at the end of each volunteering session.
Typical gardening includes weeding sloping banks, pruning trees and shrubs, clearing overgrown areas, repairing paths and steps and general tidying up as requested.
