Refugee Week provides a platform, where positive images of refugees can be promoted in order to create a culture of welcome throughout the UK. The aim is to create better understanding between different communities and to encourage successful cohesion enabling refuges to live in safety and to continue making a valuable contribution to the UK.
In Bristol, there will be a range of cultural, social, artistic and educational events. Music, dance, visual arts, poetry, debate and discussion events are planned for this week, offering an opportunity for everyone to come together at different locations around the City.
