Description: 

The post holder will raise funds from new and existing funders focusing on trusts and statutory sources. They will manage current funders, regular supporters and fundraising appeals to support African Initiatives’ social justice and development work in Africa. The post-holder will be expected to further develop the fundraising strategy of the organisation.
You will have at least 3 years of a demonstrable fundraising track record plus marketing, communication and presentation skills and a passion for social justice work and the voluntary sector. You will be able to work on you own initiative with limited supervision.

HANDS Play Centre Manager and Deputy Manager

The Princess Royal Trust Carers’ Centre for Bristol and South Gloucestershire provides wide-ranging information, advice and support for carers. Our aim is to make life better for carers and involve them in the planning and development of services, and we’re making a difference at the heart of a national network. So can you.
Acting as the link between health professionals and carers, you will deliver invaluable information, advice, support and advocacy within a hospital setting. This will involve liaising with hospital staff to ensure that the timing of appointments, admissions and discharge are better coordinated and that the carers’ and patients’ needs are taken into account. You will also raise awareness of carers’ needs among nursing staff, and ensure that carers are involved in decision-making at every stage.
Above all, you will reduce anxiety by ensuring that carers are supported through the hospitalisation process, whilst delivering comprehensive emotional support. To be equal to the challenge, you will require a sound track record in information, advice and advocacy work, significant exposure to hospital settings and broad knowledge of legislation covering delayed discharge, mental capacity and safeguarding adults.
