This one-day interactive workshop is aimed at voluntary and community sector organisations to help them to explore sustainable funding opportunities.
The Sustainable Funding Project encourages and enables voluntary and community organisations to adopt a 'rounded approach' to sustainable funding through:
- An understanding of the importance of planning and financial management in achieving sustainability
- Income diversification - exploring a diverse mix of income sources including donations, grants and earned income
- Considering generating income through commissioning and trading goods and services.
- An awareness of the use of loans and other forms of finance as a catalyst to develop your organisation
The 'Introduction to Sustainable Funding' workshop covers the following themes:
- An introduction to the theme of sustainable funding
- An introduction to planning and management
- An introduction to full-cost recovery and analysis
- An introduction to the principles of generating income through contractual work and trading goods and services
- An introduction to loan finance
