Bristol Women's Voice

An interactive day for current and prospective volunteers to share ideas and skillsets to help establish a dynamic new volunteer network for Bristol Women's Voice.

Bristol Women’s Voice is a charity whose main aim is to make sure ALL women’s voices are heard in the city. We raise awareness of women’s inequalities, collaborate with other women’s organisations and campaign for change. BWV relies on the talent, skills and goodwill of a fantastic volunteer network from across the city.

We welcome ALL women
We are now in the process of reviewing our volunteer structure and we want to encourage more women from all backgrounds and demographics to come and work with us. We’re working out what we can offer volunteers to make the role more fulfilling and exciting.

How would you like to change inequality in Bristol?
Do you have a passion for representation, an interest in community activism or women’s health inequalities? Would you like to help us campaign for policy change and what would you like Bristol Women’s Voice to offer in return in terms of training and opportunities?

Have you got ideas or have you noticed specific injustices or inequalities you’d like to bring to our attention?

We want you to be a part of creating change
We’d like a Bristol Women’s Voice volunteer network who are engaged in the work of the team here, and are not just pulled into events.  So if your skill or passion ranges from IT, social media, to policy change, community engagement and everything in between, there is a place for you here with us.

We will be working with volunteers to match skills, qualities and aspirations with work streams and projects so that everyone benefits!  We also would like to formalise commitment offerings – so long term, short term or casual engagement with us, dependent upon life circumstances current and future.  So something for everyone!
