You are invited!

We would like to invite you to join us at Bristol’s Big Green Picnic on Wednesday 29th August 2018.

This exciting event, organised by Bristol Cathedral and the Diocese of Bristol will see College Green host a mass participation picnicking event from 11:30-14:00.

We are encouraging the public to picnic with us plastic-free, to pack as much local, organic produce into their picnic as possible, to leave no waste behind and to travel by public transport. Together we will affirm our city’s green commitment and heighten people’s awareness of what they can personally do to reduce their impact on our planet.

From 10-12 we are also holding a Messy Cathedral event with Green themed activities. These events always attract good numbers of families and we will be inviting those attending this event to stay for the picnic also.

At the event we would love to invite organisations and businesses who are aligned to this cause, to have a stand to promote what they do. This could be handing out leaflets or freebies, or inviting people, especially children to take part in an activity. This cannot be selling or giving out food produce (sorry).

We may be able to provide you with a table, but you may like to bring a gazebo and banner to draw attention to your stand.

We also hope to have a PA system set up on the green, and if you would like you we would invite you to share for 60 seconds who you are and what you do at a point during the event.
