The Communities for Equalities Network (C4E), developed by Voscur and Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI), is network for organisations and groups in Bristol’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector who work to support equalities communities, and/or who are themselves equalities-led.

In our upcoming session we will be building on the ideas explored during our launch event where all attendees shared their aspirations on how this network could benefit the communities they support. We will be discussing how we put this into practice, and create systems within this network to ensure we are able to move towards our aims and ambitions.

The network’s longer-term aims and ambitions that emerged in our initial sessions were to:

  • Build and strengthen the collective voice of equalities organisations, ensuring representation and consideration in decision-making.
  • Push for equalities to be front and centre of initiatives in Bristol.
  • Amplify the voices of equalities communities in Bristol more generally.
  • Advocate for policy changes at local, regional, and national levels that promote equality.
  • Promote opportunities for members to feed into decision making and policy shaping.
  • Offer Peer Support, Capacity Building and Collaboration.
  • Facilitate mutual support and collaboration between member groups, including the sharing of knowledge, best practice, and resources.
  • Strengthen the capacity of community groups, ensuring that members are connected to advice, resources, and training opportunities.

Join us to take part in the upcoming session and collaborate with others working towards our shared goals.
