Exploring the Concept of Borderline Personality Disorder
This is a one day training course designed to develop participants’ knowledge and understanding of Borderline Personality Disorder. The course will cover how individuals are diagnosed with BPD and the impact of the symptoms and experiences associated with this diagnosis. Participants’ will have the opportunity to reflect on the range of feelings, attitudes and responses that can arise when supporting people with a BPD diagnosis and learn about helpful responses. The training will provide information about the relationship between a BPD diagnosis and self-injury, as well as the best practice for support of clients, including harm minimisation strategies and person-centred practice.
