Are you developing, implementing or trying to influence new approaches to funding and commissioning that better respond to the complexity of people’s lives?

You are invited to an event hosted by Collaborate CIC and Newcastle University Business School to explore what complexity-friendly funding and commissioning looks like and how to make change happen.

Sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/funding-commissioning-in-complexity-putti...

This event will be an opportunity to:

  • LEARN about emerging knowledge and practice from elsewhere (within and beyond the South West);

  • REFLECT on your own experiences and insights from others to identify opportunities to develop your and your organisation’s (or wider system’s) work;

  • IDENTIFY how you would like to continue conversations with peers as part of an emerging network in the South West.

The event builds on the May 2017 report A Whole New World: Funding and Commissioning in Complexity

Gary Wallace (Plymouth City Council) will chair the panel of speakers which will include a public sector commissioner, voluntary sector partnership and a charitable funder who will share examples of new practice and learning.

This event is open to delivery organisations (and people who access services) as well as funders and commissioners.

Developing complexity-informed practices requires fundamentally changing how funders and commissioners work together with and shift greater power to organisations that work with local people, and people themselves. Curiosity and a commitment to learning, sharing and developing new complexity-friendly approaches is the main thing we’re looking for!

To confirm your attendance please register via the link above. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (places are limited to two per organisation).

This event is part of a series of events taking place across the UK, supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
