Are you interested in leasing a building or land from Bristol City Council and want to find out about Community Asset Transfer (CAT) and understand the application process? Have you already started on the process and want help to make it successful?

This event is for VCSE organisations interested in finding out about CAT - whether you have little understanding of what it is or are already in the application process.

The event will cover:

  • What is Community Asset Transfer (CAT)? Bristol City Council will explain the criteria that applicants need to meet and the stages of the CAT process.
  • Business Planning Workshop - are you ready to take on and manage your asset? Do you need to do things differently to make it successful and sustainable? Have you considered the risks and potential rewards? This session will help to ensure you're ready to make the most of an asset and manage changes to how you may work.
  • Lessons from an organisation that has completed their CAT process - and what you can learn from their experience.
  • Where to go for support and professional advice.

There will also be an opportunity to network with other organisations in a similar position to share what's worked and strengthen your plans.
