Cost:

Organised/hosted by:
Bristol City Council

Are you interested in how we can increasingly work with data, for the benefit of the residents and guests to Bristol, humanity and our planet at large?

This event will provide an opportunity for people and organisations to ‘pitch’ for one of the 3 x £1,500 commission awards available, and showcase their work to a Bristol audience (an application form must be completed in order to be selected to one of our ‘pitch’ places). 40 audience tickets are also available. Project entry criteria include using open data from the Bristol API or the Bristol Open Data platform in some way - and help us develop a local creativity and culture, and a fair and inclusive economy. The commissioned projects will have 3 months to deliver their solution.

Local investors will also be invited to consider funding the projects, with no required commitment. Tech and data experts and enthusiasts are very much welcome to be part of the audience and make use of the opportunity to try-out cutting-edge prototypes.

It is due to the generosity of our event partners and sponsors that we are able to offer this opportunity.

-----------

Project pitch places are limited, and in order to have a fair and transparent process of selection, entry criteria have been agreed and can be found in this online document - www.bit.ly/odpselection .

If you would like to pitch at the commissioning session, please book a ticket for the event, and send a reply email with a very brief outline of the project you would like to pitch - by midday 18th of February - clearly indicating which of the entry criteria is met.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) must include:

Project title:
-Name of lead individual/organisation:
-A short statement outlining the project:
-A brief description of how the project meets the entry criteria:
-A brief overview of the skills within the team:
-Is the solution new or expanding an existing product/solution?:

The Project EOI can be sent as a standalone document, or in the body of an email. Please send your EOI or any questions to opendata@bristol.gov.uk by midday on the 18th of February

Please get in contact if you have any specific accessibility requirements. We can provide key materials available in large print/braille; and hearing loop is available at the event.
