Details of Role:

Do you want to work with organisations from the local voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to help them improve their activities, networks and volunteering?
Volunteering is a bedrock of the VCSE Sector, and was vital during the pandemic volunteering in helping vulnerable people to manage the restrictions. This post will build on this and previous inspiring volunteer work, as well as connecting organisations with health systems and structures.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced Support and Development Officer. This person will have a strong track record in the planning and delivery of services to the VCSE sector, partners and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:
•    Excellent interpersonal skills – you can communicate effectively, network and tactfully negotiate with people from a wide range of backgrounds and roles.
•    The ability to identify potential barriers that organisations may face in developing their organisation and its volunteering activities  – you will also have the skills to proactively address these barriers in one-to-one meetings and group settings.
•    Relationship-building skills – you can work efficiently with partners across different sectors.
For more details, please see the attached job description and person specification.
This role will involve delivery of programmes throughout Bristol at external venues and occasional out of hours commitments.

Equality is one of Voscur’s core values and we want our team to reflect the diversity of our city. We therefore welcome applications from people who are currently under-represented in the general workforce. We encourage you to read up on Voscur’s work and the local VCSE sector.
