Working with Self-Harm and Suicidality
WORKING WITH SELF-HARM AND SUICIDALITY
This training is an introduction to OTR's approach to working with self-harm and suicidality. It includes a discussion around what self-harm is and how to respond to disclosures of self-harm in an empowering way. On the topic of suicidality, it provides a way of managing conversations around suicidality. It discusses safety plans as a way to help young people in distress. NB: This training aims to increase practitioners' confidence with these areas and does not aim to supersede or interfere with the internal safe-guarding procedures that should be in place at organisations.
Our training is particularly well placed for individuals and teams who work directly with young people.
