The Get Growing Garden Trail returns for a 6th year – with over 20 of Bristol’s secret fruit & veg gardens opening their gates to visitors over the weekend of 4 & 5 June.

The sites taking part range from pocket veg beds on high streets or in public parks, to acres of productive fields. From miniature orchards tucked behind shops, to historic gardens, to working farms.

Each community project has its own ways of working and its own ways for people to get involved. The idea behind the Trail is to showcase the diversity of Bristol’s growing projects and the number of alternative ways there are to “grow together” in the city, as alternatives to the solo gardening of the back garden or allotment. The weekend gives visitors the opportunity to experience all of these diverse ways of growing, in order to find what would suit them best. Plus it’s a great chance for a sneaky visit into those hidden bits of Bristol that we don’t normally get to see – lovingly-tended spaces which are in turn productive, beautiful, inspiring and surprising.

Meet the volunteers who make these gardens possible and find out how you can get involved!
