“Community development is about recognising the abilities and potential that exist in all people and supporting their capacity to develop, organise and take action on the things they care about”

Is this what you do?  Then join us for a discussion about Community Development in Bristol.

This event is being organised by people who are doing community work in Bristol. We are keen to meet with others and to create a space for dialogue between equals. What, if anything, happens next will be up to the people who join in.

A space for people involved in community development, community work, or community organising in Bristol to come together to:

  • Meet
  • Discover who’s doing what, where.
  • Find out what we have in common , shared values?  shared goals?
  • Explore opportunities for collaboration .
  • Consider opportunities to move forward together.
  • Agree next steps.

When you book a place you will be invited to complete a survey monkey where you can tell us the things you would most like to discuss with peers.

Bristol Ageing Better also invite us to join them for the launch of their Blueprint for their Community Development for Older People Project.  To book your space for this exciting launch visit www.bristolageingbetter.org.uk

This event has been organised by Barton Hill Settlement, VOSCUR, Knightstone Housing Association, Bristol Ageing Better and Bristol City Council.  Our only goal is to create a shared space for people to come together.
